We started the week with a no-uniform day & "Sundae Monday" with ice cream treats at lunch. Our fifth graders led us in a wonderful prayer service on Tuesday, each student wrote & read a prayer intention for those who learn & help us to learn, those who lead, those who serve, those who face adversity, and for the environmental and spiritual needs of others. Wednesday we had the chance to share our school with many prospective parents at our Open House. And then…Davey the Clown entertained our students by juggling, riding a unicycle, creating balloon art and so much more! On Thursday, our students and faculty shared their favorite sports teams on sportswear day…and the students had a no-homework day.
All week long we collected food and snack for Centre Street Food Pantry. We delivered over forty bags of food, with hand-decorated hearts by our students in each one… and they were so appreciative.
This wonderful week wrapped up with a School Spirit Day - Go Hawks! So much spiritwear and so many blue ribbon t-shirts! We finished the day with a fun student vs faculty/parent basketball game complete with a cheering squad! We are so grateful to our parents for choosing MAA and for all they did to make this such a special week for our community.
