Why I teach: I am the proud daughter of two retired educators. They were positive role models who demonstrated the value and impact of teaching through their dedication, passion and commitment. I was inspired to follow in their footsteps. I have loved watching the academic and personal growth of my students.

My Grade 5 Reading and ELA courses aim to enhance students comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and improve their writing skills. We review proper academic research, gather resources, and verify the sources. As a culmination of this work, students will write a five-paragraph essay and present it to their classmates. Working with Ms. Druid, this illustrates to students how collaboration of disciplines enhances their learning.
