Why I Teach:

I started at MAA’s Rainbow Nursery in 2000 and graduated from the sixth grade in 2008. My MAA education has instilled in me a lifelong love of learning and service. I was thrilled at the opportunity to come back to MAA to begin my teaching career. I believe that every child has unique talents and abilities, and I strive to create a classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth.

What makes our grade so special?

I am grateful for the partnership I have with Mrs. Ryan, who also teaches Grade 3. Third grade is an important year in a student’s educational journey. Students transition from the early elementary years to a more independent and focused environment.  We tackle the topics of multiplication, division, fractions, five-paragraph essays, and reading more complex texts.
