Why I teach: I love the age of the preschoolers and watching their learning and social development progress throughout the year. I am dedicated to providing a positive and supportive environment for the children where they learn a wonderful curriculum as well as the skills to make friends and the importance of being kind.The preschool is a special place with so much happiness and activity each day. 

Our letter of the week introduction engages the children in crafts, worksheets and writing practice with a weekly featured letter. The crafts and handwriting piece help improve fine motor skills while the worksheets and other group activities assist with their letter recognition and understanding of the letter.

Another highlight from our curriculum is our Star of the Week program. Each week a student is highlighted in the class. A poster is created at home and brought into school to be shared. The children gain confidence in public speaking as they share their poster with the class and classmates learn to listen with time for questions at the end.  This program is one of many ways in which we highlight an appreciation for everyone in our classroom.
