My Teaching Philosophy: Children are naturally curious and want to know about the world around them. I believe my job as an educator is to be their guide and to support their growth not only academically, but also socially-emotionally. Students will excel in learning when placed in situations where they need to explore and problem-solve with their peers.

 

My goal: To support my students so that they may grow as individuals. In my classroom, students are loved and respected and they grow because of the relationships they share with those around them. A child is not meant to grow only vertically, but also horizontally. As educators, we need to support the growth of our students not only as readers, writers, mathematicians, and scientists, but also as individuals, friends, and citizens of our community.
