Why I teach: My love of teaching began early, kindled by my incredible Fourth Grade teacher! His fun-loving spirit and positive reinforcement helped me grow immensely as an individual. 

Teaching Sixth Grade provides a unique challenge, helping students on the cusp of young adolescence find a more mature sense of self. Sixth grade is fast-paced and jam-packed with pivotal moments and positive growth challenges, from applying to future schools to the spring musical. For reading, we connect and reflect with characters going through many monumental and relatable changes. Critical thinking is pushed and encouraged as students encounter social, cultural, and historical differences, many for the first time.  As members of the sixth-grade team, Mrs. Hall and I support the students as they encounter decisions about their future schools.
